Log in to your Gmail account
Go to Gmail and sign in with your Google account.
Go to Google Account Settings
Click on your profile picture (top right).
Select “Manage your Google Account.”
Open Security Settings
On the left sidebar, click “Security.”
Set Up 2-Step Verification
Scroll down to the “How you sign in to Google” section.
Click “2-Step Verification.”
Press “Get Started.”
Sign in again
Google will ask you to re-enter your password.
Choose your verification method
Google Prompt (recommended): A prompt sent to your phone when you sign in.
Text message or phone call: A code sent to your mobile.
Authenticator App (Google Authenticator): Generates time-based codes.
Security key (USB/NFC): A physical device for added security.
Verify your method
Enter the code or approve the prompt to confirm.
Turn On 2-Step Verification
Once verified, click “Turn On.”
